 Farewell 2011 with the
New Year song ! Most of us look back the memorable events
that happened in 2011 and start to make Resolutions for the
new year 2012. However, all bygone years remind us that
sometimes, Resolutions are to be made and promises are to be
broken! So, just not make the list but listen to your heart
and follow the mind says! Making parenting resolutions is a
good idea if you have kids who need to take care of. As
parents or even teachers, we need to be 'Good role models'
as our habits tend to be passed on to children. We ourselves
need to be 'Effectively Disciplined' because indiscipline is
a sign of a character that can get one irritated, hyper,
angry and can take the whole world on fire - ultimately, the
effects are passed on to the family esp. children who learn
to be undisciplined too. Rathar, it's time for effective
discipline to children with the tech age leading kids sit on
computers social networking or watching television getting
obese!
So, well, thoughts to ponder!
Well, here's the Resolutions page you may like to develop
the qualities within and learn how to 'Stay Happy in an
Unhappy World!' Btw, someone did say, the economic boom and
the world 2012 is Doomsday, is it really? I wonder.
Wishing all a
Happy Farewell and May 2012 be memorable year for you
bringing peace and calm.

Predators crawl on the web
everywhere waiting for naive kids and teenagers to introduce
themselves. Especially, if your children are on 'Facebook'
hanging for hours playing games or chatting with friends,
it's a red alert to be aware, beware!
Social networking sites appeal
to kids and teenagers, mostly because they encompass so many
of the online tools and entertainment activities that they
know, love and talk over with friends. These networks
provide a centralized control center to access real-time and
asynchronous communication features, blogging tools, photo,
music and video sharing features, and the ability to post
original creative work – all linked to a unique profile that
can be customized and updated on a regular basis.
My recent observations with
children who are active on Facebook and the parental concern
who complain about their child's activity on web, call for
Privacy matters that matter the most!

'Songs Page' - Make a Kidsfreesouls
Song Book! Kids would love to sing the kiddy songs, believe
me. When my children at Swagat Children
Library get just bored with reading sessions, they love
the lyric sheets and group singing is fun. Kids can copy the
songs for singing pleasure. Draw some pics and color them
with the written songs and put stickers too! Maybe just have
a downloaded lyric sheet print-outs and put them in a file.
Simple projects and it's a great activity.

Youth & Government - Paving a new path for India
On May 14, 2011, I got the opportunity to address
Youth at
CIIE-IIMA.
The topic of my Speech and Presentation were on 'Youth &
Government - Paving a new path for India.' Follow the
Presentation for a brief glance on feeling the 'Pulse' of
the Youth and indepth findings. As an alert and an aware
citizen, it is our prime responsibility to possibly work in
areas where we can encourage Youth initiatives, innovation
and entrepreneurship. As a result, some of the researched
work highlights Government Policies and Sectors which held
potential for plunge into business and keep a close watch on
happennings in business world. A call to the Youth focus on
points to 'Get charged, Bring change' at a time when Anna
Hazare fights for Corruption and the need of the hour arises
for a Young Anna Hazare as the future of India is Youth.

What is the environmental impact of so many people now using
sites like Facebook and spending so much time online?-

The
environmental impact of so much online time really boils
down to energy usage, which in turn affects the amount of
greenhouse gases we pump into our atmosphere. Google, which
has been carbon neutral since 2007, has been a real leader
in the building of green data centers, even powering them
with renewable energy.
