Alex was wearing his friend’s favourite loafers, the ones with the taps on the soles. As he clanked across the floor, the Inspector told him to sit down. “Here”, Alex said to Josh, “Lets trade back. They’re too noisy for me.”. Josh took the loafers, and muttered, “too bad”, cause I really like them.”
The Inspector, irritated said, “Excuse me, but we are here to find out who stole this woman’s purse.”
"I know you’re used to giving lectures and questioning others, but right now I’m the one who’ll be making the inquiries," the Inspector said, as he shook off his umbrella and removed his wet raincoat.
He was standing in the hallway of the Great Science Center. Just a short while ago, a rare, one-of-a-kind Himalayan bobcat had been stolen from its cage in the research laboratory.
The only three people who could have gained entry of the classified lab were standing before the Inspector.
“Sorry for all the noise, Inspector” Mr. Mistry said. The Inspector was surrounded by whirring and grinding and clanking machines in Mr. Mistry’s wood working shop.
His students were all busy creating all kinds of wood art. Mr. Mistry said, “I suppose you have heard about the robbery last night?” The Inspector replied, “Of course, Yes. I am sorry. Any idea who took the money?” Mr. Mistry nodded. “The only time the money was discussed was when my two partners came into the shop.
