About Artie
Knapp
Children’s Author Artie Knapp was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, in
1973. A library bearing his name is featured on the
internationally acclaimed Kids site Candlelightstories.com. His
Children’s Literature has appeared in such publications as Humpty
Dumpty’s Magazine, Alphabet-Soup.net, Kiddyhouse, Kids Turn
Central and The Pakistan Television Corporation among others.
Knapp is a member of The Society of
Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and graduated from Ohio
University. He wrote and directed the science-fiction comedy movie

Knapp story collection now out in paperback
Several of Artie Knapp’s
widely published children’s stories are now available in a new paperback book.
The 78 page collection features Artie’s stories The Rooster That Wouldn’t
Crow, Alligator Alley, No More Car Wash Blues, The Shell Shocked Turtle, and The
Lazy Loppin Goat. The book was published by MightyBook Inc, and illustrated
by Aja Wells.

Stories by Artie Knapp - the humorous children’s stories in this collection
were previously published by the Detroit Free Press’ Yak’s Corner, an 8-page
print magazine written for students ages 6-13. Sporadic B&W spot illustrations

Stuttering Stan Takes
a Stand
Stanley is like most squirrels:
he loves nuts, climbing trees and playing with friends. But Stanley feels
different from the other animals in his neighborhood, because he has a problem
with words. Teased and bullied about his stuttering, Stanley refuses to let on
that his feelings are being hurt, until one day he learns an important lesson
from a new friend.
Stuttering Stan Takes a Stand is published by the Division of Speech
Pathology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, which is the largest
pediatric speech pathology program in the United States.
