Sundays with Hridaan – This Sunday, 28th June 2020, 9.00 P.M, Hridaan reads an All Time French Classic ‘Beauty And the Beast.’
We’ve learnt so much from this story and as we pass on to our next generation, the moral of the tale helps us be good, finest citizens. Kids learn the moral:
1. Inner Beauty – Outer Beauty. Difference and values of being good inside. True beauty lies in kindness as we experience here.
2. Never stop Learning and it’s okay to be curious.
3. Don’t underestimate someone and look beyond what you see. The Beast was kind and gentle with qualities that anyone would appreciate.
4. Don’t let fear grip you. Beauty was brave enough to face an ugly looking beast.
5. Dare to be Different- Standing out because you’re not like everyone else isn’t a bad thing. It means you’re an individual. Embrace what makes you different, because it’s also what makes you special.
6. Love is natural, pure and original. Beauty loved the Beast for who he was for his characteristic inwardly and not how he looked outside.

There are over 5 Versions of the tale and each differs a twisted end. The Disney movie is lovely viewing the movie. The original story of Beauty and the Beast was written by Gabrielle-Suzanne de Villeneuve. Originally published in La Jeune Américaine, et Les Contes Marins in 1740 ‘
